WORK WITH YOUR FAMILY'S HABITS

February 14, 2011

Are you tired of tripping over piles of backpacks and shoes by your back door?  Have you encouraged your family to take their things to their rooms to no avail?  Instead of trying to reinvent the wheel to keep your entry way organized, why not work within the habits your family has already established. Try placing a closed storage cabinet or hooks and a shoe rack near your door to collect previously dumped items.  Does your dining room table look more like a classroom than a family eating place?  Create space in your dining hutch or kitchen cabinets to collect errant school supplies.  It will be easier for your family to adapt and maintain the new routine if it coincides with their established habits.

For the month of February we are going to focus on keeping your family organized.  We'll address topics from staying organized while pregnant, getting organized for baby and simple ways to teach your kids to help keep your house in order.
