You may have the energy to pack and unpack in one quick sweeping motion.  But if you are in the majority of freshly moved families, chances are you will have some (or more than some) lingering boxes after your initial move day. Why not set a goal of 5, 10, maybe 20 boxes to unpack per day? Slowly chipping away at the daunting task of unpacking will help you to better organize as you put things away rather than re-organize once you've lived in your new home for awhile.  Or  decide “we will have all our boxes unpacked in 15 (or 20 or 30) days.” Setting an end goal will help to prevent the "stick boxes in the corner of the garage or basement until the next move" syndrome which often plagues us (if does this happen, see my previous post DON'T MOVE IT IF YOU DON'T USE IT before your next move).

A bit of preparation can go a long way in alleviating some of your moving related headaches.  That's why I will be focusing on preparing you and your family for smooth moves during the month of March.
