B IS FOR BAG IT, TAG IT
When beginning an organizing project, we often start, and rightfully so, by pulling everything out so we can see it and sort it. Good plan...until it comes to what to do with what will soon be exiting our homes. If cleaning a closet, the discarded clothes often become a heap in the corner of the room. If cleaning out toys, the unwanted toys somehow make their way back into the toy chest. To help solve the dilemma of making more clutter when you are trying to clear it, try grabbing bags or containers to haul away your clutter prior to starting your project. Label the bags or containers "Recycle," "Donation," etc. to identify where it will land. Make sure when you have finished your clean out you remove these vessels from your home (or even better, take them to the donation site or recycling center immediately). And yes, for those of you who caught it that is a Phish reference.

In honor of the school year beginning, I will be exploring the ABC's of Organizing until the end of September. Check back daily to find out more!
