Want to know how some people manage to pack so much into their day?  One of the main secrets is they schedule their day.  On a regular basis they create a list of what they want to accomplish and when they plan to do it.  Some people prefer to set up their day the night before.  Some do it when they wake in the morning.  Some do it electronically and some with old fashioned pen and paper.  The key to their success is not "how" or "when" they decide what they are going to accomplish for the day, it is the fact that they start their day with a road map to keep them on task.  Include any task, big or small, that you would like to complete that day.  Pay bills?  Wash Towels?  Paint you bedroom?  You may even want to put a time of day and length of time to spend on the task when making your schedule.  If it is something like "Clean Out Email Inbox" it can be very easy to lose track of time while completing this task.  Instead of "Clean Out Email Inbox" you could say "Spend 30 Minutes Cleaning Up Email Inbox."  

Seeing your list on a daily basis can also help you to see if you are over-committed.  If what NEEDS to be done is not being accomplished because other not so important tasks are in the way, it may be time to re-evaluate where you spend your time.  Learning to say no and prioritize your daily tasks will help you accomplish more of what needs to be done and keep your household running smoothly.
